George Emanuel Firearms Training and Education
A Few Words From George

Welcome to my corner of the shooting world—a place where experience meets enthusiasm, and learning is just as important as having a good time. I’ve spent more than six decades with firearms in my hands, starting with my service in the Navy and the Army during the Vietnam era. Those years taught me discipline, respect, and responsibility—but they also sparked a lifelong passion that I still carry with me every single day.
During my time in uniform, I managed military ranges, working with both officers and enlisted personnel. It was serious work, no doubt—but even then, I understood something important: people learn best when they’re engaged, when they’re challenged, and yes, when they’re enjoying the process. That belief has stuck with me ever since.
Now here’s something I want you to know right up front—I may have a lot of years behind me, but I still show up every day with the mindset of a student. There’s always something new to learn, always a way to improve. That energy, that curiosity, that drive to get just a little bit better—that’s exactly what I bring to every class, and what I want to pass on to you.
Over the years, I’ve become a Certified Instructor with both the NRA and the USCCA, teaching everything from Basic Pistol to Countering Mass Shooter Threats. I’ve served as a Chief Range Safety Officer and a “Shoot Boss” with Project Appleseed. More importantly, I’ve had the privilege of training thousands of people—from seasoned professionals and law enforcement officers to families, first-time shooters, and even kids getting their very first introduction to the shooting sports.
And here’s the truth: no matter who you are, learning this skill should be empowering—and it should be enjoyable too. Yes, we take safety seriously. Yes, we focus on doing things the right way. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a few laughs, celebrate progress, and enjoy the journey along the way. There’s nothing better than seeing someone go from unsure and hesitant to confident and smiling—and trust me, that happens a lot.
I’m known for being direct, and I won’t sugarcoat things. But that honesty comes from respect—for you, and for the responsibility that comes with what we’re doing. You won’t find fluff or nonsense here. What you will find is clear, straightforward instruction, delivered in a way that builds you up and keeps you moving forward.
I don’t believe in hand-holding—I believe in hand-strengthening. My goal is to build your confidence and skill level so that when you step up to the line, you feel ready, capable, and maybe even a little excited to show yourself what you can do.
I still compete with the guy in the mirror every day, and that drive to improve is something I want you to experience too. Because this isn’t just about hitting a target—it’s about growth, confidence, and enjoying the process of getting better.
So if you’re ready to learn, challenge yourself, and have some fun while doing it, I’m ready to teach. Welcome to my line—let’s go find that “I can do this!” smile together. together.
