Led by a dynamic NRA-certified instructor, this course promises direct guidance from start to finish, blending classroom sessions with thrilling shooting range experiences. Whether you prefer a one-day intensive or a spread-out format, we’ve got you covered!

Exciting topics on the agenda include mandatory Firearm Safety, exploring Pistol Nomenclature, selecting the perfect self-defense pistol, mastering Defensive Pistol Skills, honing your Drawing from Concealment techniques, tackling Loading and Stoppage Remediation, cultivating the right Mindset, understanding Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, delving into Firearm Cleaning, and even diving into Sport Shooting and Training Activities.

Course length? No worries – our skilled instructors tailor it to meet your State’s CCW permit requirements. Live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification await you on the range, all under the expert guidance of an NRA Certified Instructor. Plus, you’ll walk away with reference books, ace the NRA CCW Student Examination, and proudly sport a course completion certificate signed by the NRA Secretary and your dedicated NRA Certified Instructor.

The NRA Basic Pistol Certification Is Required to enroll in this class. The Instructor will consider Equivalent training on a case-by-case basis, requiring pre-qualification on the range.

You will need a handgun suitable for self-defense (9mm or equivalent minimum), a Kydex, or a leather holster with or without a retention device, except for Serpa-type holsters which may not be used in this class. Fabric Holsters are not acceptable. You will also need three magazines or more and a magazine pouch for at least one extra magazine.

This course will require 100 rounds of ammunition; I prefer you have 200 games for class. You may need to shoot the qualification more than once to qualify.
